The Lytham Whitefriars Exhibition (scheduled for the 13^th May 2007) has had to be cancelled, due to the date of the Glass Fair at Gaydon being changed to that same date. We attempted to change the date of our Exhibition to the 20^th May. Unfortunately, not all the exhibitors were able to attend. This left a shortfall in the number of exhibits, so the Committee reluctantly decided to cancel and have the event on a future date when all exhibitors are available.

The Heathercliffe Hotel, Frodsham (7^th July 2007) is a former Victorian gentleman’s residence, situated in 10 acres of private grounds in woodland and parkland which have panoramic views over the Cheshire countryside. The hotel boasts an award-winning chef.

Our speaker for the day, Peter von Brackel, is renowned for his extensive knowledge of paperweights. His book, Paperweights: Historicism, Art Nouveau, Art Deco, which is published by Schiffers (ISBN-13: 978-0764310522) has had good reviews and covers paperweights dating from 1870 to 1945. We can look forward to an exciting and informative day with Peter, set in beautiful surroundings. The secretary will be sending out further details, menus and directions shortly.
